Getting back on my feet
April 10th, 2006Okay, now that I’ve upgraded Gallery and finished setting up Textpattern (that only took all freaking day), I’ll be able to get around to re-posting the most popular posts so that people can fix their links to the site.
Hold on for a day or two and all shall be well.

Well, what a fine mess you got yourself into, Ollie. Seriously, though, sorry to hear about this and very sorry to hear the repair took all day long.

Haha, I know. I’m only geeky enough to be capable of accidentally deleting my own site, right? I think now I’ll remember to make backups. Purely as a precautionary measure against myself.
But it’s not so bad; there’s only a couple of posts (literally. two. but two that I LIKED) I made that I can’t seem to find any backup copies of, which annoys me but…meh. The blog’s not such a big deal to fix, since I still have most of the important stuff intact (just not comments, and the structure of the site’s going to be different so people’s links will be screwy).
It was trying to figure out how to work the new CMS for my writing portfolio on another part of the site that took all day. Could there BE less helpful documentation in the world? And then upgrading my art gallery shouldn’t be a big deal but my FTP server is evil… so it’s other stuff that’s been taking all day. I just wanted to get all that finished first, before getting into this…
